Guide for Families Impacted by Federal Immigration Policies


Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey issued a guide for parents in the event of sudden detention or deportation by federal immigration officials. The guide applies to parents and their children who are living in Massachusetts and discusses the different options for care and custody of a child who remains in the United States.

Upcoming Programs at the BCYF Blackstone

Enclosed are two programs that are coming up at the BCYF Blackstone.
Free Swim For Safety Classes https://goo.gl/ALvSPm during February School Vacation (Wednesday, Feb 21st through Friday, Feb 23rd). This is for children ages 5-12, space is limited slots available and pre-registration is required. These classes are not swimming lessons, but classes for basic pool and swim safety.

The Youth Venture Program https://goo.gl/gX7ur5 is a youth entrepreneurial initiative that is sponsored by United Way. Our youth are doing a venture of phone repair initiative. We look forward to you taking an advantage of these two programs. Please contact the center if you have any questions.

Project Bread has an immediate opening

Project Bread has an immediate opening for a full-time SNAP/Food Stamps Enrollment Coordinator. This position will work out of our office in East Boston. The ideal candidate is committed to helping people in need, is bilingual (English/Spanish), has strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. He or she must have their own transportation.
